Why This Site Exists
I am Japanese and have always enjoyed traveling.
For many years, however, most of my trips were outside Japan.
At some point, I realized that although I lived in Japan, I had experienced surprisingly little everyday travel within my own country.
This site began as a way to rediscover Japan through actual movement — taking trains, night buses, ferries, staying in simple accommodations, and paying attention to small details that are often skipped in guidebooks.
